Sea Snooze sleepovers are back and more fin-tastic than ever!
Scouts, families, and groups of all kinds can shell-ebrate a night with Mote Science Education Aquarium all to themselves. Come face-to-fin with sharks, penguins, otters and more in our Florida and Indo-Pacific galleries and tackle hands-on STEM challenges inspired by real Mote research. Then drop anchor for the night and sleep with the fishes in front of our largest animal habitats. Pizza dinner and a light breakfast are included, so you’ll be fueled and ready to sea-ze the day!
Important Details
Recommended Ages: 8-15
Group Size: Minimum capacity is 30 people. Maximum capacity is 100 people. (Capacity is determined as the total number of youth and chaperones).
Youth Fee: $75 per youth participant
Adult Fee: 1 adult chaperone per 5 youth is REQUIRED and admitted free, additional chaperones are $40 each
Payment Policy: Payment is due in full at the time of registration

Food
- Mote will provide a pizza dinner, movie snack and a light breakfast.
- We may be able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions if given advanced notice however it is not guaranteed.
- Participants with special dietary needs are welcome to bring their own food however food is not permitted in the aquarium with the exception of movie time.
Not Permitted
- Weapons of any kind. All attendees must enter through a weapons detector.
- Outside vendors (i.e. characters, face painters, etc) onsite catering are not permitted on Mote property during your Sea Snooze.
- Mote is a smoke-free facility and the use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited onsite during these family events.
Please note: Should your sleepover exceed the maximum capacity, you attempt to bring outside vendors or catering onsite, or anyone in your group consumes drugs, tobacco, or alcohol onsite, your event will be shutdown, your group will be escorted out, and you will not receive a refund.
Requesting a SEA Snooze
Mote Sea Snoozes are available on select dates only. Due to the limited availability and popularity of this program, we recommend requesting a Sea Snooze 6-8 weeks in advance. Please note that filling out the request form does not guarantee or confirm your Sea Snooze. We will email you within 7 business days of receiving your request to either confirm your Sea Snooze or to ask for additional dates if the ones requested are unavailable.
